Privacy Policy

Letter Chain is a word puzzle game. You can play without an account. If you choose to sign in with Google, we store a small amount of data so your progress follows you to other devices. We don't show ads, we don't track you, and we never sell your data.

Playing as a guest

Without signing in, your game history, scores, streaks, settings and reminders are stored only on your device. Nothing about you or your games is sent to us.

To show the same daily puzzle to everyone, the app downloads it from our server. Like any web request, this reveals your device's IP address to our hosting provider, which may keep it briefly in standard server logs. We don't link it to you or use it for anything else.

If you sign in with Google

Signing in is optional. When you sign in, we receive and store:

• Account details from Google: your name, email address and profile picture link, plus an internal account ID.
• Your game results: for each finished puzzle, the game mode, theme, difficulty, puzzle ID, number of words, time taken, hints used, the date and time, and the app version.

We use this only to keep your account, sync your progress across devices and show your stats, streaks, levels and badges. We never see your Google password.

What we don't collect

No location, contacts, photos, microphone, advertising ID, browsing history or payment information. No analytics or advertising trackers. No data is sold or shared for advertising.

Notifications

Daily reminders are scheduled on your device by the app. They don't involve our servers, and you can turn them off in Settings at any time.

Who processes your data

• Supabase hosts our database and sign-in service (servers in Tokyo, Japan). Data is encrypted in transit, and access rules ensure each account can only read and add its own results.
• Google provides "Sign in with Google" under Google's Privacy Policy.

Your data may be stored and processed outside your country.

How long we keep it

Account data and game results are kept until you delete your account. Guest data stays on your device until you delete the app or clear its data.

Deleting your account and data

In the app, open Profile → Delete account. This permanently deletes your account, profile and all synced game results straight away. You can also ask us to delete them; see Delete your Letter Chain account. Copies in our hosting provider's backups are removed automatically within 30 days.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or ask any question about this policy by emailing meghrajgiri56@gmail.com. We reply within 30 days.

Children

Letter Chain is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. Children can play as guests, which stores nothing on our servers. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children under 13; if you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and its effective date, and mention significant changes in the app.
